What to expect
A timed event, not a fixed distance: everyone starts together at 8am on the same hilly four-mile circuit and the field thins as each cutoff passes. The kilometre figures here are rough coverage for filtering — what you actually run is between you and the twelfth hour. Tehidy's paths are gentle underfoot by Cornish standards, which is exactly what makes lap forty of them dangerous.
