What to expect
The marathon carries close to 1,200m of climb through Penwith's roughest coast path; the ultra adds Land's End to Pendeen and collects three lighthouses on the way to Godrevy. November means the back of the field finishes into the dark — the organisers call it beating the light, which is generous of them.
